Experience the thrill of viewing the Big 5 wildlife on a half-day safari at Schotia Safaris, the oldest private game reserve in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Located on the eastern border of Addo Elephant National Park, this malaria-free reserve is known for its dense animal populations and excellent game viewing year-round.
Begin with a short 45-minute drive to Schotia or meet us at Schotia Safaris, where you will explore the reserve in an open 4x4 safari vehicle, guided by an experienced local guide. In the morning, venture into the wilderness to search for the Big 5—Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino, Lion, and Leopard—among a diverse array of other species. Schotia was the first reserve in the Cape Province to have free-roaming lions, so sightings are almost guaranteed on every game drive.
Beyond the Big 5, keep your eyes peeled for Hippos, Crocodiles, numerous antelope species, and a variety of other wildlife that make this reserve a true paradise for nature lovers.
