Overview
Botswana is a destination everyone should experience—not just once. Its wild, untouched wilderness is teeming with abundant wildlife, offering some of the most pristine environments to encounter the natural beauty of Africa.
The essence of Botswana’s wilderness lies in its vast landscapes, with approximately 70% of the country covered by the Kalahari Basin. The Okavango River breathes life into this basin, creating a dynamic landscape shaped by annual floods, seasonal changes, and its rich biodiversity. Traveling through these pristine areas requires experienced guides and well-organized logistics, as access can be challenging, especially during the rainy season when some destinations become difficult to reach by 4x4.
This highly recommended wildlife safari showcases the prime game viewing areas of Botswana, including Makgadikgadi Pans, Moremi Game Reserve, and Chobe National Park. Moremi is part of the eastern Okavango Delta, one of the most spectacular natural habitats, offering extraordinary wildlife encounters. The diverse habitats and scenic beauty elevate this safari experience to a whole new level.
Throughout the journey, we camp in various wild camping areas, enhancing the adventure and connection to nature. Driving through tough terrain is part of the experience, but your guide is always there to assist, sharing insights into the area’s culture, wildlife, and ecosystems.
This incredible safari relies on the expertise, knowledge, and passion of our guides, ensuring an unforgettable journey filled with fun, adventure, and discovery. Travel comfortably in your own 4x4 vehicle, guided by our qualified professionals who will lead you through remote areas and some of Botswana’s most breathtaking landscapes.
This guided self-drive tour departs from South Africa and takes you to the best camping spots and remote regions of Botswana, traveling through the Caprivi Strip of Namibia all the way to the majestic Victoria Falls.
You will visit three countries, enjoy wild camping, explore the Okavango Delta, and even travel from the safety of your 4x4 vehicle. Make new friends, share stories around campfires, showcase your 4x4 skills, and immerse yourself in the peaceful sounds of wildlife at night.
